What a turnaround!
If you’ve been here under the old management and haven’t been back for a while, I’d highly recommend giving the new folks a try, the difference is honestly like night and day!
The coffee was always great under both managements ☕️, but the food is now seriously amazing, and the service is second to none. Friendly, attentive and just a completely different experience.
It’s a total turnaround and definitely worth another visit if you’ve written the place off in the past. It’s now giving me the same great vibe and quality as the flagship in Braddon.
Highly recommend — give it another go! You might be pleasantly surprised. 🙌

Cafe 80/20 IS A GEM IN THIS CITY! 💎💎☕️
The food was soooo good! The portions were perfect and so satisfying. When you walk in, you’ll immediately notice all the effort and care that has gone into creating the whole experience. They genuinely try their best to accommodate to your needs with seating and your order 🥹
The ambience is warm and cozy, the music is great, and the whole place just has such a welcoming feel to it.
Even when it gets quite busy, you’re not left waiting around for too long, which is always a plus!
A special shoutout to Rahul and Veer for making the experience so wholesome. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, and just made the whole experience that much better.
You can tell there’s a lot of heart behind Cafe 80/20. Definitely a place worth visiting. ❤️

An excellent addition to Canberra’s massive cafe scene. I rate it as Canberra’s best inner north cafe.
Wait for coffee and food was a tad bit delayed because they were so busy, but staff were still friendly and polite.
Food and coffee was well worth the short delay. Coffee was at a perfect temp and not bitter, my oat milk was frothed perfectly.
Eggs benny were FANTASTIC. Good fresh well balanced hollandaise, house cured salmon was tasty, eggs were poached to perfection with really nice dark orange yolks.
Thanks for an awesome brunch team! We’ll be back!
